Here’s a yummy dessert recipe. These bars are really flaky and delicious!
Weight Watchers Flaky Pineapple Bars recipe
Makes 70 servings
Ingredients
3 cups pineapple, drained and crushed
4 cups flour
1 cup sour cream
1 lb margarine or butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup sugar
confectioners’ sugar
Preparation
1. Cut margarine or butter into the flour with a pastry blender.
2. Add the vanilla and sour cream.
3. Mix well and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
4. Meanwhile, cook the pineapple, cornstarch and sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and clear.
5. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
6. Roll out half of the dough and place in the bottom of a jellyroll pan.
7. Add the cooled filling and spread over the dough.
8. Cover with the remaining rolled out dough.
9. Bake at 325 degrees F for about 55 minutes (or until golden brown).
10. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
11. Cut in 70 squares.
