WeightWatchers Turmeric Chai Latte Recipe

This ancient golden milk is foamy, silky and rich. Turmeric is known to be an anti-inflammatory spice that can also combat dementia and cancer.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups steamed whole milk
  • ½ cup chopped fresh turmeric
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cardamom pods
  • 1 tablespoon chopped peeled fresh ginger
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 teaspoons whole cloves
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 orange pekoe tea bags
  • ground turmeric (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, bring the water, ginger, chopped turmeric, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick to a boil over medium-high.
  2. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat. Add the tea bags and let stand for about 10 minutes.
  4. Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl, discarding the solids. Stir in the honey.
  5. Pour the steamed milk evenly into 4 glasses. Pour ¼ cup of the tea mixture into each glass.
  6. Sprinkle with ground turmeric, if desired.
