Try this original coleslaw for a change – dried cranberries and fresh pineapple make it as untraditional as it gets. You can use normal coleslaw blend (cabbage slaw mix) instead of the broccoli slaw if you prefer.

Side Dish 1 pkg. (12 oz.) broccoli slaw ⅓ cup dried cranberries 1 cup chopped fresh pineapple 1 cup red pepper strips ¼ cup chopped red onions ⅓ cup Italian dressing ⅓ cup sliced almonds, toasted 1 tsp. brown sugar
In a large bowl, combine the broccoli slaw, pineapple, cranberries, red onions and red pepper strips. Mix the sugar and dressing until blended. Add to the salad and toss to coat. Refrigerate for about 1 hour. Add the sliced almonds just before serving; mix lightly.
